Chapter 8- Gift for darkness

1. The meeting at the beginning of the chapter when Jack runs away to start his own tribe.

What was Jack thinking. "Who ever wants to come can come" then he walks away. He tried to take Raplhs group. He tried to rule the little and big ones. No one rose their hands when Jack was saying his little speech. "Where are all the others?" Piggy asks Ralph not knowing that Robert, Maurice, Roger and hunters loft to go join Jack. Cowards I think, why couldn't they just leave when Jack left and Ralph was there loooking, were they scared or just didn't want to do it in front of him and see his annoyed, mad, confused face. Only a savage would try totake over a group and make it onl hunters forget the rescue part. Ralph is doing good bu when Jack left he too called a meeting. "Are all of you sure your going to stay?" Ralph asked questions but half the time stoppped and didn't seem to know what he was talking about. Piggy helped. "Rescue." All that satyed with Ralph were most likely to be rescued, those who went to the dark side with Jack were only to hunt and kill. They actually killed a sow (female pig) and stuck on a stick with flies flying all over it. THE LORD OF THE FLIES. The thing in which they all called beast. Dead.

Simon saw the whole thing he saw the murder happen. So Simon obviosly doesn't know yet about the meeting Jack made or about Ralph and Jack being seperate leaders. Jack is a bad ;eader I don't get how Robert who was humiliated by him went off to find him and join him, Jack, to get meat, be a hunter, and is like saying "I don't care about being rescued." Its horrible. The only one who has realized this, I think is Simon who actually talked to the Lord Of The Flies.
I chose to write about this event because this is the reason .. the beggining of what happened and why they killed lord of the flies, Jack making his own tribe. It definatly important its the begging of a chapter and soemthing interesting did happen. Jack leaving was both good and bad. Who would keep the fire going. Who would hunt now when the ones that are with Ralph are too scraed to go into the jungle. Also the good part is Piggy starts helping out. Ralph is still leader of the rescue party group, and hey Jack and his hunters killed the beastie... they killed Lord Of The Flies- Beezlebub,etc.
