Blog 6- ASSIGNMENT

Prompt B: Compare and Contrast yourself to either Scout or Jem at thier age. Compare and contrast your summer activites, friends, relationships with your dad, siblings and adults.



So, I think I could compare myself to Jem more than Scout. Jem and I are similar because we both love a sport alot. Jem obviously loves football. I love soccer and volleyball, and like tennis[really bad at it btw]. I'm like half tomboyish in that side of me which is like scout, but I also have a girly side which isn't at all like Scout. I'm like a mixture of things about Scout and Jem. I'm also like Jem because I try control myself and not get mad easily. Unlike scout who beats up whoever says anything mean/bad to her [though not anymore as much as she used to] Jem is the oldest of Atticus's kids. I'm also the oldest in my family. I have 2 sisters [Edith who's 12 and Daisy who's like 11] and 1 brother [Alexander,3]. We don't fight often, and if we do its not like serious we just get annoyed with eachother sometimes and argue. I don't argue with Edith, and Alexander's a toddler so he doesn't bother me yet... but Daisy is like omg..! she drives me crazy sometimes- mostly because she talks way too much [she tries talking to me when I have my i-pod on]

Anyways I am also like Jem in other ways. When I talk to and adult I try not to be rude so be respectful, kind, and not make a face if they say something that is pointless or I don't like. I think Jem is like this too, scout on the other hand is somewhat of an opposite, she doesn't care what the adult thinks of her behavior she dos does whatever pops nto her mind without thinking about the outcome. Jem acted like this when he destroyed Ms. Dubose's garden , I don't think I'll act that way but I can loose it depending on the situation.


Jem talks to his dad [mostly lawyer stuff, football, or some other thing] but I feel like Scout has a better relationship with Atticus. As for me I think I'm in between. I mean I talk to my dad alot but I've never really had a conversation that is like 2 hours long.. which is kind of funny because I talk to my mom for proabbly longer than that... always about school and my friends. Overall I think my relationshp with my dad is similar to Jem's. In fact I am more like Jem than Scout. I have a calm, quiet, smart, tomboyish side and crazy, girly, bright, loud, not so smart side.
